Hello and welcome to all! My name is Nancy Lloyd and I am a third grade teacher at East Elementary. Some of you might know me from kindergarten, where I spent three wonderful years teaching our kindergarteners. This is my second year in third grade and I am looking forward to a great year with kids, many of whom I taught in kindergarten! I am also a Student Leadership Teacher Sponsor for our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Student Leadership kids. To tell you a little bit about me, I grew up in the Littleton Public School district. I attended Peabody Elementary, Newton Middle School and Arapahoe High School. I then went on to Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with an Early Childhood Education licensure. I have since gone back to school and obtained my Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Phoenix. I am currently back in school at the University of Phoenix working towards an Administrative Licensure. As you can probably tell, I am a firm believer in life long learning not only for my students but as well for myself. I want students to enjoy school and feel confident that they can learn and be successful. I have many fond memories of elementary school and would like to ensure that all students at East leave us with similar fond memories.
